Professor at the Faculty of Information Sciences of the Complutense University (1981-2014), where he taught General Theory of Image, Communication and Audiovisual Information, Corporate Visual Identity, Introduction to Design, Graphic Design and History of Advertising Communication. He has been director of the TDGP (Permanent Graphic Design Workshop), and of conferences, courses and a radio program on design (Círculo de Bellas Artes, Madrid).

He has published monographs and articles on radio audience, basic social services, tourist habits, corporate visual identity, graffiti, criticism and sociology of design. Books and articles published in Dialnet. He has been a member of the BEDA (Bureau of European Designers Associations) (2000-2014), partner of AEPD (Spanish Association of Design Professionals), founding partner of di-mad (Designers Association Madrid) and collaborator of the La Fábrica de Diseño studio (1983-2014). His latest publication, Group 13: advertising between art and design (3 vol. 2015), has been the subject of the current exhibition at the National Museum of Decorative Arts.
